Everyday will be designed and personally curated to match your Italian bucket list.
All activities are subject to seasonal availability.
Day 1:
Guests arrive at Milano Malpensa Airport after which they are transferred to the hotel to check-in in downtown Milano. Fight the jet lag and adapt to the Italian timezone with Milano's best shopping, an aperitivo in the piazza, or take some time to visit the city’s most famous cathedral, Il Duomo.
Day 2
Laghi d’italia – Visit busy Lake Como and enjoy the day aboard cute local boats. Or, traverse to Lago Maggiore, discovering the small towns like Arona while enjoying fresh gelato as we walk along the lake’s shore.
Drive through the Italian Westerntowns and into the town of Gattinara to enjoy lodging and dinner at Ristorante Locanda Villa Cavalleri.
Day 3
Explore Gattinara, “The City of Vines.” - There we will meet the renowned Travaglini family and taste our way through the best of their Nebbiolo styles vintages. Daughter of the family, Alessia, will personally guide us on a tour through the high vineyards of the property as we enjoy the views from her favorite spots and listen to the stories of her grandfather cultivating the same land.
Day 4
Barolo e Barbaresco - Drive down to the center of the Nebbiolo region and visit Barolo and Barbaresco. We’ll immerse ourselves in the taste of vintage Barolo and embrace the royalty of Fontanafredda, founded by the first King of Italy in 1858.
Dinner will be served at Michelin rated restaurant Guido as the explosions of flavor continue to visit your palate.
Day 5
Nebbiolo e Tartufi – Taste Nebbiolo in every way possible from special Piedmont wineries to meeting the families behind all the hard work. If we’re feeling lucky, a truffle hunt will be arranged with a local family and their cunning canines. Following the hunt, we’ll relish over our bounty with a home cooked dinner that’s blanketed in our own hand picked truffles. The intensity of smells and taste will surely make this heavenly meal one of the most memorable of your trip.
Day 6
Vitello Tonnato e Tajarin – Learn to prepare the 2 most popular dishes in Piedmont. Make Vitello Tonnato from scratch, indulging in the 36 egg yolk, thinly hand sliced pasta, while we learn to make and taste all the flavors in a Piemontese kitchen.
Day 7
Ciao Ciao - transfer to Milano Malpensa for guest departure.
