Day 1:
Guests arrive in Florence Airport – We’ll walk around Firenze and explore the street markets, enjoy your first glass of sparkling sangiovese and have some snacks in the salumi toscani.
Day 2
Davide e Venere – Explore the wonders of Florence museums where we meet the real Michelangelo’s David and his twins, see the Birth of Venus up close and personal, and climb the Giotto’s Bell tower. During the day we’ll eat lunch right beside the Duomo at Cantinetta di Verazzano. For dinner, we’ll luxuriate in true Tuscan style at Buca di Mario, toasting the evening with the best Chianti and Fiorentina steak!
Day 3
Chianti – Let’s drive down to Chianti and discover the story of the Black Rooster. We’ll be welcomed by the special Cappellini family at Castello di Verrazzano as we enjoy sangiovese from the highest altitudes in Radda at Castello d’Albola and visit one of the oldest castles in Greve. Have the tasting of a lifetime with all the magical products of the region and embrace the local culture of enjoying life with the best ingredients the land has to offer. Get a good night’s rest in the old noble’s town, the sangiovese tastings have only just begun!
Day 4
Tutto Sangiovese - Explore the wonders of Siena before we head down the heart of Tuscany and enjoy some Sangiovese Grosso and Prugnolo Gentile. We’ll drink the best Brunello and Vino Nobile produced in Tuscany, paired with olive oil, local meats and cheeses, and the everpresent Italian hospitality.
Day 5
Terme di Saturnia – Discover the Italian wonders of the land. In the heart of Tuscany, you can bathe at natural hot springs and enjoy a relaxing spa day after all the walking around the small Italian town. This is la Dolce Vita, spending the evening driving towards the Tuscan coast to the Tyrrhenian sea to visit family winery Trattoria di Magliano. Enjoy Sangiovese from the Maremma area and decide which ones have been your favorite so far from the trip before we head out for a fun beach day!
Day 6
Il Mare Tirreno - Today, depending on the weather, we’ll enjoy activities on the beach. Meet a Buttero, the Tuscan cowboy who, on horseback, will guide us on the trail to our next glass of wine. Enjoy an amazing seafood feast by the coast before we head back up to Firenze for our last night in Tuscany.
Day 7
Ciao Ciao - Stock up on warm made cantucci cookies and schiaccia Toscana before your flight back to the US, so at least on your flight you won’t miss dessert.
